STROUGH GYM TO BE NAMED IN HONOR OF COACH BUDDY EVANS
The Rome Board of Education unanimously agreed Wednesday to name the renovated gym at Strough Middle School the “Buddy Evans Gymnasium” in honor of former RFA basketball coach Stan “Buddy” Evans.
NOTED OCEANOGRAPHER DAVID GALLO TO SPEAK AT RFA ON FRIDAY
The Rome Free Academy Science Club will host Dr. David G. Gallo, an oceanographer and explorer, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 in the high school auditorium. Gallo helped lead expeditions to explore the R.M.S. Titanic and the German battleship Bismarck.
